1. Are Returns Accepted?

Yes, returns are accepted, subject to the conditions outlined in this policy and applicable South African consumer law.


2. Return Timeframe

Customers may request a return:

  • Within 14 days of delivery for non-defective items (change-of-mind returns)
  • Within 6 months of delivery for defective, faulty, or unsafe items, in accordance with Section 56 of the CPA
  • Within 48 hours of delivery for items that are damaged, incorrect, or missing

3. Return Conditions

To qualify for a return, items must meet the following conditions:

  • Unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
  • Returned in original packaging with all accessories and documentation
  • Not damaged due to misuse, electrical faults, or incorrect installation

Installed, altered, or custom-ordered items are not eligible for return unless defective.


4. Refund Method & Timing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days from the date the returned item is received and inspected.

Refunds will be issued:

  • Via the original payment method used, where possible
  • Or via an agreed alternative method

Original shipping fees are non-refundable, unless the return is due to an error or defect.


5. Return Shipping Responsibility

  • Defective, incorrect, or damaged items:
    Greentech Power Solutions will cover return shipping costs.
  • Change-of-mind returns:
    The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

6. Exchange Policy (If Offered)

Exchanges are offered for:

  • Defective products
  • Incorrect items supplied

Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If an exchange is not available, a refund or repair will be offered in accordance with CPA requirements.


7. How to Initiate a Return (Mandatory)

To initiate a return, customers must:

  2. Provide the order number or proof of purchase
  3. Describe the reason for the return
  4. Attach clear photos where applicable

Returns sent without prior approval may be rejected.


8. Handling of Defective or Incorrect Items

If an item is defective, unsafe, or not as described, customers may choose one of the following remedies under the CPA:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund

This choice belongs to the consumer within the first 6 months of delivery.


9. Installation-Related Returns

  • Products installed by Greentech Power Solutions are covered for product defects only
  • Installation and labour fees are non-refundable unless legally required
  • Products installed by third parties are not covered for installation-related damage

10. Consistency With Checkout & Product Pages

This Returns & Refund Policy is applied consistently across:

  • Product pages
  • Checkout pages
  • Order confirmations

Any product-specific return conditions will be clearly stated on the relevant product page.
